Subsea Cables Package Manager

The Scope

• Leading the Cable Package Team including team meetings, resource planning and resource hiring
• Defining HSE activates within the cable Team and cable contractors
• Managing the cable supply contractor together with the cable team
• Participating in the cable supply contractor monthly progress meetings
• Facilitating internal cable packages meetings
• Managing the technical and time schedule Interfaces within the cable packages team and alongside the FOU, WTG and ONS packages
• Defining the Certification plan and scope for the cable package
• Defining documentation flow from the contract, through to internal review and handover to O&M
• Leading a team accountable for the FEED studies required for the development of the Offshore Cable works package.
• Leading the co-ordination task of aligning consenting, cable design, offshore cable installation and electrical system design teams to freeze the optimal cable routing, including establishing key              criteria, such as burial depth, landfall location, etc.
• Leading design reviews and risk assessments workshops at the required points and ensure that actions from the meetings are assigned and discharged by the appropriate person
• Leading the management of external stakeholders related to the cable package
• Reviewing any engineering activities performed to date
• Reviewing any existing survey data and preparing plans for detailed surveys
• Developing and implementing contingency plans in the event of unforeseen events impacting the work packages
• Preparation and delivering of project management documentation, such as project scope, costs, risks and interfaces
• Lead the management of external stakeholders related to the offshore export cable package
• Provide progress reporting as required.
• Holding ultimate responsibility for the Offshore Cable package

The Requirements

• Able to work and have current working knowledge as a Project Manager/Package manager (Certification as a Project Manager is preferred)
• First-hand knowledge in leading a matrix-organised team through the FEED study phase of an Offshore Cable package
• The ability to lead, communicate, negotiate and manage stakeholder engagement
• The abilities to prioritise and execute tasks to meet deadlines.
• Communicate fluently in English (Verbally and in written form)
• An analytical mind along with high level of professionalism, trustworthiness, sound judgment, and a collaborative spirit.
• Excellent commercial astuteness.
